    Bringing mellower, more melodic counterpoints to a core of nu-metal bombast makes Mudvayne’s fifth studio album at times sound clumsy.

    These guys once flailed like a future-prog version of Slipknot (whose Shawn Crahan served as executive producer on L.D. 50), but now their doomy riff-o-rama comes equipped with mellow-bellow butt-rock choruses.

    Great album. Other than the rest of mudvayne discography, but still good. Guitars, vocals, drums and bass are amazing. Good composition.

    For a Mudvayne album, its very well put together, and a HUGE step in the right direction after "The New Game!"

    A little bit more like LD and Lost and Found. After hearing it a couple of times it really starts to grow on you. The chorus sections seem to A little bit more like LD and Lost and Found. After hearing it a couple of times it really starts to grow on you. The chorus sections seem to be the most interesting parts of this album. The vocals seem to have a few changes in them compared to the older albums. On the downside the songs seem a little disjointed. The clean riffs in the songs seem a bit simplistic. While not as good as The End of All Things, mudvayne fans will find alot to like. It however will not earn to many new converts.… Expand
