  1. This gem leaves you wanting more. [21 Apr 2006, p.75]
  2. On Revenge, Murs and 9th Wonder wisely stick to the winning formula that paid such rich creative dividends on 3:16--strong song concepts, minimal guest appearances, a brisk running time, dope beats, and lyrics both smart and smartass.

Murs is both hard and intelligent. [May 2006, p.88]
  4. A good album that should please fans of any type of hip-hop.
  5. There is a lot to be said for good chemistry. Nothing about this album is jaw dropping, but Murs and 9th play off each other so well throughout this short but sweet album that I don't really care.
  6. The only problem, then, is that Murray’s Revenge simply lacks the instant-classic feel of 3:16.
  7. "Murray's Revenge" clocks in at a meager thirty-three minutes, which is simply too short for a full-length album.... Regardless, he is back, and better than ever.
  8. Murray's Revenge is one of the better gang-unrelated and Dre-unaffiliated records to come from the West Coast since Murs' last one.
  9. Murs' sixth album sets his quick-tongued command over soul-flecked funk. [23 Mar 2006, p.67]
  10. 70
Though a few recycled cliches stall the disc... Murs's payback is a big payoff. [Jun 2006, p.164]
  11. A largely effective mix of grime and soul. [25 Mar 2006]
  12. Murray’s Revenge feels tired, the work of a mind either distracted or unwilling to commit to any one thing.
