I haven't put on her albums in years, but this made me want to - surprisingly strong work & her best since Compositions, quite a bit better than Rhythm of Love. Like reuniting with an old friend, and she's as good as ever. Now if only she would finally stop singing "baby" so much - how about "honey" once in a while instead? Snookums? Possum? Bubelah?

This CD is what Anita Baker fans have been waiting for. With so few real singers on the charts. Anita shows them how it should be done.

It's all terrifically boring, naturally, but her voice is exquisite. [Nov 2004, p.117]
  2. Masterful blends of R&B, jazz and gospel accented by soulful harmonies.

The only downside is that all the tracks sound similar. [Oct 2004, p.186]
