A snapshot of one of the most vital, intellectual, breathlessly thrilling bands Britain's ever produced. [Dec. 2011 p. 143]

Starts loud, alienated and proudly rockist, and stays right there. [Jan 2012, p. 93]

These singles show that Manic Street Preachers have stayed true to one at least one of their ideals – which is to write the best songs they possibly could.

Through these two discs, the band's highs, tragedies, slumps, and comebacks are all evident.

It's a glorious mess of contradictions, and what could say 'Manic Street Preachers' more than that?

Pocos grupos podrán presumir de llevar 20 años haciendo grandes discos, y de tener una colección de singles como esta. Canciones como "From despair to where", "Faster" o "A design for life" son inmortales. Solo disfruten! Expand

Some of the greatest songs in the last 20 years are to be found here, including Motown Junk, Motorcycle Emptiness, You Love Us, Faster, A Design for Life and Masses Against the Classes. Overall it's a great introduction to the band showing far more diversity than the band's previous singles collection 'Forever Delayed'. However the problem comes in what is not here but what is missing. The singles from 'The Holy Bible' (excluding Faster) are the weaker tracks from the album and the lack of anything from Journal for Plague Loves is really criminal with it being one of the band's best albums. It's still a brilliant album and an ideal gift for anyone who has shown a passing interest in the band. Hopefully it will lead to more people checking out the rest of the band Collapse
