    An electrically charged indie band that utilizes a unique new take at the genre, using polar, drowned vocals and a clapping metronome that sends chills to your spine. The singing constantly dips from high to muddied to unnaturally deep, and despite this description sounding eccentric, you feel as if they carry you gently onto the waves of their oddly-spoken ocean. Their rhythmic use of the clapping and bass as the focal source of beat keeping is not only intriguing, but one cannot help but head bob throughout the entire album. New Villager's self entitled album is not just an album that brings a refreshing new take to the shore, but its songs are distinguishable enough that several listens are well in order.
