Considering that Ferreira is a twenty-one-year-old major label pop artist exploring indie rock on a highly-anticipated debut, songs born of manifold frustration and uncertainty, Night Time, My Time is a defiant and assured listen.

[A] bracing, aggressive and surprisingly tender debut album.
  5. 80
It’s an all-enveloping record that puts the listener at the centre of the overwhelming intensity of Ferreira’s life these past few years – and offers a front-row seat to her wrestling back control.

It’s divided between driving, stadium-sized rock and diffuse, murkier tracks, a series of starts and stops, explosions of feeling followed by temporary calm.

    [An] uneven and unimpressive debut.

After struggling for years to release a debut album, Sky Ferreira has finally did it after a long endless battle with her label over her soundAfter struggling for years to release a debut album, Sky Ferreira has finally did it after a long endless battle with her label over her sound and image. Despite not receiving much support from her label herself for this record, Ferreira did nothing but deliver. With 70's esque synths and infectious guitar riffs at the beginning of almost every song, Sky showcases just what she's capable of as a songwriter and singer. Perhaps one of if not the best debut albums of the year. Expand
