This is a weird, unconventional and utterly thrilling classic. [29 Sep 2012, p.53]

This is a ruthless, heartbreaking and agonisingly profound release from a truly unrivalled band.
  3. One Wing is equal parts raw, deranged, beautiful, and immense--it's a very primal and exhausting release; something you can feel pouring out of your speakers.

On their fifth album, One Wing, the Chariot avoid the pitfalls that have caught up many a band, striking just the right balance between technique and raw fury to create a sound that is both emotionally and intellectually satisfying.

Pound for pound this is another very solid album from an awesome band.

Though not as consistently aggressive as past efforts, the Chariot ride through other seemingly non-related genres (à la Between the Buried and Me) throughout One Wing, adding a bipolar insanity to the album.

This album is something quite opposite to what I'm wrote about. There is a lot of changes of tempo, of volume. Some songs start quietly and suddenly transform to great musically, loud metal music. Each song appears to be different. The best metal album I have heard recently. Collapse
