  1. With the dust having settled around Zakk Wylde's unexpected departure from Ozzy Osbourne's band, better attention can be paid to Order of the Black, the new album from Wylde's Black Label Society.
  2. Mr Wylde is onto another grininducing winner here and long may it continue.
  3. There's a sense of passion on Order of the Black that we honestly haven't heard since the band's first album.

Album number eight from Zakk Wylde sees him cranking up the macho guitar heroics to superhuman levels. [Oct. 2010, p. 103]

Order Of The Black will keep diehard Black Label Society fans happy, but it's still some way from being a truly classic release. [28 Aug 2010, p.53]
  6. As pure music, Black Label Society remain as effective as they ever were on Order of the Black.

They stick with the basics like in the first few BLS albums. Nothing but metal with no BS to comb through. I commend Zakk Wylde & BLS for releasing a bare bones, heavy metal album with no frills.
