The focus on a single mood occasionally threatens to lead only to a creative dead-end, but Out from Out Where arguably betters its successors by coming together as a single work.
-
85Tobin's definitely out to have some fun with this record, though the immense density of these soundscapes prevent them from being reduced to chop-shop filler.
-
But for all its diligent progressivism, Out From Out Where collapses under its own weight, sounding every bit as stubborn and hermetic as Autechre's infamous Confield.

ScynneP10This is without doubt his best work. He has done an axcellent job of using sub-bass sounds to give it a feel almost as much as a sound.
