The passing of time has only increased Blur's stature as a British treasure and this is a concert that suits their status: it's crowd-pleasing without pandering.

Blur have released three compilation albums, but none of them point up the band's engagingly contrary creativity and elastic pop nous quite like these two discs.

So it wasn't because Blur gave the most outstanding performance of their two-decade career that justified their rejection of what I'll call the Seymour route. It was the timing, the sense of 'crowning achievement', the feeling of poetic justice. As a document of that, Parklive is worth your money.
