Why people are whining about it not being as confrontational, I don't know. That was 25 years ago, what did you expect? That's not to be said that it's bad - it's not - it sounds more like a Coil record, with Genesis doing vocals. It is worth picking up.

Throbbing Gristle's last studio album is certainly one of their best and it's among the finest examples of XXIst century post-industrial music. Highly recommendable. An excellent introduction to TG as well.

  1. If the reformed Throbbing Gristle can't hope to live up to the mythic reputation, it seems they're still capable of delivering the occasional shock.
  2. Great album though this is in it's own right, the failing of 'The Endless Not' is that it just sounds like it's happy to play safe. No shocks, no surprises... and , sadly, none of what made TG arguably, together with the Sex Pistols, THEE most important force in the evolution of modern popular music.
  3. Throbbing Gristle... no longer sound frightening, disturbing, or, for the most part, even interesting?
