Peace sells is an album that will forever stand the test of time and the 25th anniversary remaster pounds with ferocity. Ellefson's bass on devil's island will pound your skull and will wanna make you rattle your head!

Peace Sells is one of the top tier metal albums ever put out. It's classic Megadeth and one of few albums I find myself always going back to.

This anniversary edition of peace sells is fantastic. Its a great opportunity for new fans, or fans that didnt get a chance to pick up the original, or the 2004 remaster, and includes an excellent live cd, that helps define early megadeth, with their live onslaught and attack. Its a great opportunity for new fans, or fans that didnt get a chance to pick up the original, or the 2004 remaster, and includes an excellent live cd, that helps define early megadeth, with their live onslaught and attack. But first regarding the album, each and every song still holds up very well today, and as an album, its one of those rare instances where every song is good. my only gripe, is that a few of the songs are in the same key, so a few songs sound similair, but thats only from first glance, and after a few listens and getting more fimiliar with this album, this goes away. some of Daves best work, like wake up dead, peace sells, good mourning... black friday, and the master piece, my last words, are all on this album, and remastered, to sound crisp, vintage, and better than ever. the live concert included in this 2 disk collection, is a show at the Phantasy Theater, and the exciting aspect of this album, is that all of the songs are played much faster live, rather than on the album. im serious, some of the songs are almost 2 times faster, its truly thrash metal at its finest, and is a great concert. This album has held up very well, and its always a good time blasting this or the live album, wether its in a car, at home, or on an ipod. I definitely reccomend this album to any metal fan, this is the definitive version of this album. Expand

Classic thrash gets proper remastering for 25th birthday. [Sept. 2011, p. 123]

Worth the price of admission for the Brilliant My Last Words alone, this remains a fascinating portrait of the artist as angry young man positioned on metal's sharpest cutting edge. [9 Jul 2011, p. 52]

Arguably Megadeth's strongest effort and a classic of early thrash, Peace Sells combines punkish political awareness with a dark, threatening, typically heavy metal world-view, preoccupied with evil, the occult, and the like.
