Barely passing the 40 minute mark, Pilot Talk II may be an album with some of Spitta's quickest songs, many under 3 minutes, but he keeps the relaxed stoner rap that Jets fans love. Right off the bat Airborne Aquarium sets a bouncy smoke filled mood, and Curren$y brings the lyrics hard as usual. Another beautifully soulful album from Curren$y. It carries on right from where the original left off. The guest spots are for me the only area in which this LP's quality dipps from PT1. However the more focused, cold production is most certainly an improvement and Curren$y's lyrics continue to grow. If PT1 was your soundtrack for the summer then this will be your soundtrack to the winter.Another beautifully soulful album from Curren$y. It carries on right from where the original left off. If PT1 was your soundtrack for the summer then this will be your soundtrack to the winter. I can't imagine many artists could drop 2 LP's within 6 months and never make the listener lose interest. Very much looking forward to the next installment which will be released through Warner, hopefully that will mean a bigger budget and more promotion. Expand

A completely worthy follow up to Pilot Talk. The songs with young roddy and trademark are killer on this album. Airborne Aquarium, Famous, and Flight Briefing are enough to own this album, lucky for us all the other songs are good too.

With songs like Hold On, Michael Knight, Silence, Famous and basically the whole CD, Curren$y has once again proved that his lyrics are to be reckoned with.

There's immense lyrical potential, manifesting itself in lines like "Emotional luggage, nothin' of it, I don't check bags / I just carry on, leave that bullshit in the past," or "Master the flow, Alaska-cold / silent foot, assassin approach / high when I stroll / not even leavin' footprints in the snow," but it never quite carries over to the entire song. From that point of view this sequel is more of an afterthought to "Pilot Talk" than an afterburner.

While similar in feel to it's predecessor, Pilot Talk, this follow-up is much less commercial in approach. The backdrop, though sometimes redundant, is more intimate, substituting any real peaks of audio genius for a solid, cohesive chilled-out-smoke-and-float ambiance.

On the sequel, Curren$y and Ski go even further with that central idea, pushing into sleepy, smooth funk territory that fits Curren$y's rap style perfectly.
