A landmark work by one of country's singular artists. [4 Mar 2006]
  2. The delivery of these old church songs is solemn, the accompaniment sparse, and the historical value real. [3 Mar 2006, p.102]
  3. A moving, eloquent gift to Jackson's entire audience.
  4. Even if Precious Memories winds up as something slightly underwhelming, there's no denying that this is precisely the album Jackson wanted to make, one that's consistent in tone and exact in its vision.

This entire CD is incredible. Jesus is real and desires that all come to him willingly and completely. I believe that this album will continue to sell until it is the best seller of the year! I also believe that you will see more similar works from Alan Jackson in the future. Expand

Definitely more on-the-mark than Carrie Underwood's "Jesus, Take The Wheel."
