Nov 21, 20129Saw him with Bob Dylan this week in Philly. He and his fantastic band put on a great show. He played many songs from this wonderful record. Go buy this. It's diverse and really shows off his skills as a singer, writer and player. Did I mention that the band is great?

Oct 16, 201210Saw excerpts from this on tour w Bob Dylan recently. Absolutely fabulous. I referred to it as Van Morrison on steroids (in a good way). Crazy good songs, each person accompanied with various obscure folk instruments etc. Definitely recommend this one.

Dec 14, 201210His best solo effort to date. So many great songs, impeccable guitar by MK plus his band is just so good. Saw him with Dylan recently. Knopfler and his band stole the show. I'm so glad he is continuing to write excellent songs and perform them live. He's a treasure.

Dec 7, 201280On Privateering, his seventh solo outing, Knopfler has crafted his most ambitious and pugnacious set to date.

Sep 24, 201270Tasteful without being sterile, diverse but grounded in Knopfler's melancholy mumble and quicksilver guitar, Privateering is a quietly soulful triumph. [Oct 2012, p.83]

Sep 21, 201280Master of genre purity in R&B, Country and folk, Knopfler shapes each style to his own purpose and personality. [Oct 2012, p.83]
