World, take notice- Prophet is your latest masterpiece. While it may be too complex to ignite a full-blown movement in the alternative genre, the fact that it exists as all is cause to celebrate.

Sonically, Knopf has never sounded more confident. [Jun 2012, p.82]
  3. Prophet is both eclectic and balanced, and the powerful imagination behind it makes it easier to forgive the occasional overindulgence.

An album that, musically, strikes a gorgeous balance between restraint and cosmic expansion, but vocally suffers from just too much control.

A surprisingly optimistic take on his trademark jazz-fueled rock.

Prophet's widescreen music is wonderful to listen to; it's just hard to really feel.

On Prophet, Knopf plays it by the book. In this sense, the most surprising thing about the album is how unsurprising it is. Knopf gets by, though, thanks to his raw skills as a crafter of songs, which are abundantly clear throughout.
