    Ween's best album ever. Motorhead tribute opener doesn't seem as solid as the other tracks, but still belongs on the album. 'Zoloft' is hilarious, brown, 5 star song; 'Transdermal Celebration' is a great rock song with especially excellent vocals from Gene Ween; Synthezizer filled 'So Many People' is Ween at their brownest since The Pod; Acoustic 'Tried and True' is one of the best songsWeen's best album ever. 'Zoloft' is hilarious, brown, 5 star song; 'Transdermal Celebration' is a great rock song with especially excellent vocals from Gene Ween; Synthezizer filled 'So Many People' is Ween at their brownest since The Pod; Acoustic 'Tried and True' is one of the best songs on the album; 'Happy Colored Marbles' starts off freaky, gets cute, and ends scary; 'Captain' is the only lame track; 'Chocolate Town''s weird rhymes and catchy chorus will keep you hooked; 'I Don't Want it' is perhaps Ween's only earnest song, and it is AWESOME; The strange(but still comprehensible) tale of 'The Argus' will keep you hooked for all 5 of it's minutes; 'If You Could Save Your Self' is a great, earnest song with tortured vocals and an orchestra in the back ground; and bonus track 'Ooh Va La' is just so WEIRD. 11 stars!… Collapse

    I couldn't stop listening to this album when I first got it. It is amazing. Ween however is an aquired taste, so much so that even critics, who generally are drawn to awesome-yet-bizzare music,(Radiohead's Kid A is a great example of this) are left scratching their heads.

    Ween.. All ween deserves nothing less than 10! Especially Quebec.. These guys are the most musically talented humans on earth. If anyone rates them below 10 then they clearly don't know music. These guys could make any genre of music and they prove that with this album! They don't make what sells.. They make what rocks!! Screw Rolling Stone!! Screw MTV!! Screw people that let Ween.. All ween deserves nothing less than 10! Especially Quebec.. These guys are the most musically talented humans on earth. If anyone rates them below 10 then they clearly don't know music.     The best record of the decade thus far. This is coming from someone who has close to 700 cd's. In my opinion, it should be compared to OK Computer, Dark Side of the moon and Sgt. Peppers as a true classic. Unfortunately that will never happen.

    What I love about Ween is that they don't give a fuck about what any critics say. Ween has its followers, they don't need critical acclaim to feel good about themselves, and I for one am all about that.

    Every song is brilliant. It's something you need to listen to with the headphones jacked all the way up.

    Ween keeps getting better and better. Chocolate Town was actually my favorite track.

    Really, its a strong 9 and not a perfect 10. The only real problem with this album is--that at 16 songs--its a bit too long. The 3 or 4 extra songs are still good... its just too much. The best tracks: -The opener "Mexican Wine"--a slightly bizarre song about drinking your problems away. -"Stacy's Mom" (which appears to be the first single)--about a guy who wants to toss over his Really, its a strong 9 and not a perfect 10. A guy is stuck in traffic and starts to think a bit too much about how crappy his life is. -"Hey Julie"--Just beautiful. An unexpected simple love song--a guy in a dead end job, and world, is saved by thoughts of his girl. Think of the better McCartney Beatles songs, not in terms of the style I guess, but the simple delivery. Its also got a lot in common with this band's earlier "Denise", from "their previous album "Utopia Parkway". -"Peace and Love"--A hippie song. :-) Its fun though. -"Bought For A Song"--Should have been the closer of the album. Its a bit different from everything else on the album, but really good--its probably the closest to a "rocker" on this album. By and large they are simple songs, but quirky and enjoyable. Pop rythmed, but not stupid. Like a lot of their earlier work, its about people in ordinary lives wishing for more.. for better, but there is no bitterness--just wistfulness.… Expand

    Groups like this are needed to make music interesting and fun to listen to. These guys make me smile everytime I put any of their records in my cdplayer.... and if that's not good music I don't know what is.... :-)
