Nov 24, 20121Funny this album is called "Rebel Soul" when most of the album reeks of commercial gimmicks and overused rock hooks. A Rebel Soul playing it safe is the most hypocritical thing ever.

Nov 21, 20120Derivative garbage. Just when you think Kid Rock can't get any worse, in comes this garbage. Seriously, save your money. It's not even worth the bandwidth to pirate. Full of weak attempts at nostalgia, it's some kind of bizarre mishmash of the worst kind of country and soul. Just completely and irredeemably awful.

Dec 21, 201270His recorded albums, and even his mesmerizing live show, have gradually incorporated a country sound. That trend continues on his latest, the rewarding 14-song Rebel Soul.

Nov 27, 201250It's a whole lot of uneven songs crammed into an overlong album that tries hard to please the fickle country/rock-'n'-roll/hip-hop audience-but not too hard, because that's not Kid Rock's style.

Nov 26, 201270Kid Rock is an amateurish singer, but over the last few years his unsteady squeal has been become burnished and is now credible.
