  • Summary: Big Boi, Timbaland and Rodney Jerkins are among the producers for J.Lo's first album in three years. Other guests include Fat Joe, Fabolous and Marc Anthony.

  1. Song for song, Rebirth has more energy and better hooks than her other albums.
  2. Focused, slick and likable as “Rebirth” undeniably is in places, the fact that the Limited Edition comes with a sample of Ms Lopez’s new “Miami Glow” fragrance, confirms, that it’s still just another shameless exercise in brand extension.

By no means a rebirth, but feistier and more fun than last year's Destiny's Child record, for sure. [May 2005, p.95]
  4. It says a lot about an album when the best song, "Get Right," is actually a leftover from Usher's Confessions.
  5. How did such a glam movie star turn into such a rinky-dink pop singer?
  6. It may be a slight shift in style, it may be totally harmless, and it may contain the occasional surprise, but Rebirth is anything but the renaissance that its title promises.
  7. The album's drawback lies not with the producers or the material, but with Lopez herself.

I don't know why everyone is saying that this c.d. is horrible. It is her best to date. My favorites are the songs produced by Rodney Jerkins ( Step Into My World, I Got U) and my other two favorites are He'll be Back (Timbaland) and (Can't Believe) This is Me. All the others are good also. The only ones that I wasn't feeling are I, Love and Still Around, on the latter one she sounded pitchy. But besides those two it is an awesome c.d. Expand

This album is badly produced and sounds unoriginal. Even though it's bad, you gotta give it props since its better than her last release, This Is Me...Then. Expand

What the hell is J-Lo supposed to be? Spanish lolita? Or a whore to her rent-a-rappers. Her voice doesn't live up to either.

This is an appallingly bad album. Why do record labels continue to allow these talentless actors/actresses to release horrendously bad albums?
