    Metal band makes metal album, its crap. Same story you've heard a thousand times. Metal is for children, this band suck and make childish music. Alexi is a vastly overrated guitarist too. He's Zakk Wylde-tier Don't get this unless you are a child.

    Good technically, but boring and full of fillers. Children of Bodom already didn't make true Melodeath, but now it's totally not. It's something that we can call "modern melodic death", some strange-garbage version of Melodic Death metal.

    It's a shame, but Children of Bodom has lost it's catchiness (for the most part) with this album. It's not bad, it just doesn't hit the heights of previous efforts, most of the songs just kind of pass you by, I don't remember how they go. The album does get better towards the end however, which has some great tracks. But, as there are only 9 tracks, the last 3 great tracks can't reallyIt's a shame, but Children of Bodom has lost it's catchiness (for the most part) with this album.     What Relentless Reckless Forever boils down to is a pair of decent, if not good, songs at the beginning, several painfully average songs in the middle, and a mish-mash of mediocrity at the end.

    There is enough dirty riffing, rasped invectives and breakneck thrash on this, their seventh studio album, to appeal to the kind of metal aficionado for whom a belief in dragons and wizards isn't compulsory.
