Fogerty on lazy cruise control. He clearly hates Bush, I don't care, I just wish he'd leave it out of the music. I still love the CD, but nothing shines here. Blue Moon Swamp was much much better. A bit narcissistic with the his ode to himself in "Creedance Song." Still a foot taper, but c'mon! I disagree with the critics reviews, it is NOT his best since CCR at all. BMS Fogerty on lazy cruise control. He clearly hates Bush, I don't care, I just wish he'd leave it out of the music. Don't buy this if you have a friend or relative in Iraq. It will make you mad because he clearly states his opinions here against the war. I'm all for free speech, but I don't listen to Fogerty to get opinions on war, just like I don't care what Johnny Depp thinks just because he is a movie star. Still a must have for any CCR/Fogerty fan like myself. Expand

I've heard "Don't You Wish It was True?" and I think it's a great tune--but I've yet to hear the whole album. 1. There's a real fire to his writing here, turning Revival into a missive as immediate, effective, and telling as Neil Young's "Living with War."
  2. Fogerty's voice sounds great throughout; passionate, more committed and comfortable with these songs than he has seemed in years.
  3. From the broad, hopeful tone of opener 'Don't You Wish It Was True' to the brisk closer 'Longshot,' John Fogerty at 62 has made his toughest, best-written album since Creedence Clearwater Revival disbanded in 1972.
