Minor quibbles are easy to overlook on a record that is, the majority of the time, flawlessly executed.

As stirring as it is absorbing, Talkdemonic's music is an engaging set of blended fusion that is a solid step forward.

Ruins mostly sticks to compelling, pretty surfaces and leaves the demons in the background.

Ruins succeeds a little more often than it fails, and one should look no further for a new playlist to accompany a late study session or classy dinner with some hip friends.

With a few great epics, some nice ear candy, and an abundance of mood, they're serving up the usual like bartenders. [Oct 2011, p.108]

The rock instruments--drums, keyboards and guitar--set the framework, but it's the chamber music instrument that blows the doors down.

Although I prefer the rougher edges of earlier efforts, this is Talkdemonic's best mixed and most expansive record to date.

Unfortunately, there's not much here to distinguish Ruins from the group's previous work, and too few of these compositions stick once the album is done.
