  1. In the end, the unexpectedly loose, protean feel of Rush to Relax makes for a wholly satisfying step forward from one of Australia's finest bands of the first decade of the 2000s.
  2. At their best, Rush to Relax's songs maintain a firm grip even when they meander.
  3. The album's transition between punk-rock madness and mid-tempo melodies keeps Rush To Relax from getting redundant, and while you may have heard this sound before, it rarely sounds this good.
  4. Basic, unassuming, and calling to mind a grip of classic material without going to great lengths to mimic it, Rush to Relax, the band’s third LP, adds almost nothing new to Eddy Current Suppression Ring’s repertoire.

While it does not further refine the distinctive Eddy Current sound, with songs ranging from adequate to excellent, it is still a worthwhile contribution to their oeuvre. That is, it rocks!
