    This is something we've been waiting a long time for - a truly great Manics album.

    If it doesn't quite scale the dizzy heights of 'The Holy Bible' or 'Everything Must Go', it certainly comes close and is, in many ways, the quintessential Manics album - the cathartic regeneration that the band really needed in order to become relevant again.

    This is the manics second best album after Journal For Plague Lovers. Every song is a real belter. The manics are known for being a rock band and a pop band but this is the PERFECT combination of rock and pop. Absolutely brilliant!… Expand

    This is probably their most complete album since Everything Must Go, maybe even The Holy Bible. Every song is a belter, a real return to form.

    I haven't listened to this album (hence the '5'), nor do I care for much they have done recently; I am a huge Richie-era Manics fan though. But I had to point out the ridculous hypocrisy of the "Drowned in Sound" review (40%) - "...should have called it quits three albums ago". This from the site that gave their last album - Lifeblood - 90%. Try reading your own output. Morons.… Expand
