    I haven't listened to this album (hence the '5'), nor do I care for much they have done recently; I am a huge Richie-era Manics fan though. But I had to point out the ridculous hypocrisy of the "Drowned in Sound" review (40%) - "...should have called it quits three albums ago". This from the site that gave their last album - Lifeblood - 90%. Try reading your own output. Morons.

    Over-produced, bland and forgettable. No dangers of the Manics being a great band again. If you own 'Everything Must Go', 'The Holy Bible' and 'Generation Terrorists' then you certainly don't need this. All the songs plod by with perfect MOR radio rockstylings, making no lasting impression. While it certainly isn't terrible, it's not a work Over-produced, bland and forgettable. No dangers of the Manics being a great band again. If you own 'Everything Must Go', 'The Holy Bible' and 'Generation Terrorists' then you certainly don't need this. All the songs plod by with perfect MOR radio rockstylings, making no lasting impression. While it certainly isn't terrible, it's not a work that'll grab you like their best works do. This is better than the three albums that precede it, but that's no great victory.… Expand

    If you tolerate this as a great Manic Street Preacher's album, then your children will definitely be next.
