  1. By remembering the pop elements of the source material he uses to construct his tracks, and incorporating that FM-dial ear for melody into even his most adventurous collage projects, Forrest takes the mashup form beyond gimmickry into an entirely new, refreshingly listenable, excitingly shameless realm.
  2. Urb

He tears apart the classic rock, only to re-assemble it into compositions that most resemble... classic rock. [Oct 2005, p.77]
  3. It's everything we've come to expect from Forrest in one gloriously hack 'n' sawed package, meticulously pieced together from his wide-ranging record collection.
  4. Alternative Press

A schizophrenic collision of sound that's so expertly arranged, it still sounds utterly musical. [Nov 2005, p.226]
  5. The album is almost all hooks, and like most albums of said variety, it's a load of fun but doesn't always stick to your ribs.
  6. Spin

Here, he just wrecks shit... occasionally stopping for moments of necessary reflection. [Sep 2005, p.109]
  7. With Shamelessly Exciting he's starting to get good. In other words, on this record, once you get the idea, you're still going to want to listen.
  8. Occasionally, it does seem to forsake being interesting in order to just sink into snarky spot-the-reference games or gnash another guitar solo in the interest of vapid overstimulation.
