    I was pleasantly surprised by how much I truly enjoyed this album. There's just something about Catherine McCandless' vocals that make this album worth coming back to. It's a nice change of pace from the current music scene and I recommend everyone giving it a listen.

    On Shapeshifting, their first album for Paper Bag Records, Young Galaxy have found a sound that lives up to McCandless's compelling voice (it seems Ramsay has been reduced to a secondary role, save for opener "The Angels Are Surely Weeping"), and it provides an overall sensation very unlike their first two attempts.

    Shapeshifting is an album that grows on you, as repeated listens reveal the nooks and crannies of these charming elecro-pop tunes.
