Mar 21, 20118I was pleasantly surprised by how much I truly enjoyed this album. There's just something about Catherine McCandless' vocals that make this album worth coming back to. It's a nice change of pace from the current music scene and I recommend everyone giving it a listen.

Apr 13, 201180There are crafted, uplifting songs, but also haunting, ambient undercurrents hinting at everything from Art Of Noise to The xx to Fever Ray. [May 2011, p.103]

Apr 7, 201180On Shapeshifting, their first album for Paper Bag Records, Young Galaxy have found a sound that lives up to McCandless's compelling voice (it seems Ramsay has been reduced to a secondary role, save for opener "The Angels Are Surely Weeping"), and it provides an overall sensation very unlike their first two attempts.
