  1. Ladyhawk just aren't memorable enough to stick in the mind as they could.
  2. There's enough to enjoy here in the murky atmospherics and occasional surges of melody, but Shots can’t be the Ladyhawk album fans were hoping for.
  3. It is not all this good on Shots, but when it is, Ladyhawk show they can stand with most any rock band going today.
  4. Uncut

To say Ladyhawk offer a pretty straightforward rock trip make them sound unadventurous, which they probably are, but also doesn't really do justice to the sheer head-nodding, play-loud-and-prosper enjoymenet this offers. [May 2008, p.102]
  5. The band gets bogged down far too often with a slow-verse-then-guitar-solo model, making Shots a nice overall listen but not much more.

This isn't Ladyhawk's first album... it's the second and the first was better.
