What's the big deal??? Showtime, like it's predecessor, is NOT a revolutionary album by any means. Dizzee does NOT break new grounds lyrically, and his delivery is derivative of better british emcee's such as Roots Manuva. The beats are clunky and obviously made with a Korg triton. boo.

The last British hope... Showtime expands on Boy In Da Corner lyrically but not in innovation, but how can we expect so much in a sophomore release? Dizzee's talent is still astonishing and he will only grow better with forthcoming albums... nuff respect to the guy... "Imagine" is a absolute masterpiece

The boy is crazy, but the result is awesome music. Dizzee is 10 years ahead off the rest, and this is as future as you get it. The beats is off the hook, and you will discover many different layers in his lyrical universe as you explore it. My favorite songs is "Face", "Respect me" and "Learn".

This CD is another great package from Dizzee. Although I enjoyed the beats more on Boy in Da Corner, these beats are more varied. He carries on the Showtime theme throughout the album, as opposed to just making a bunch of interchangeable song found on a lot of hip-hop albums today. All in all, not as impressive as ...Corner, but recommended to its fans. Here's looking toward Maths and English......… Expand

I do think Boy in da Corner is better. But this album is still great...

Boy in the Corner is still his best, but Showtime is still a very strong album, & one of the best of the year. Dizzee's flow is fantastic, & there are plenty of excellent songs.

A little more main stream, but it still doesn't mean that people that don't get it think its crazy shit. This album seems to be influenced a little bit by his appearance on Basement Jaxx's "Lucky Star" (which isn't all that bad, by the way), with new things like scratching, more foot tapping samples, and singing. Don't worry, Rascit is wicked strange, but he's not doing the singing. The only complaint I have with this album is that I can't tell if Rascal is changing his sound a bit to keep it fresh, or he's just becoming more mainstream. Oh well, for now its still great, but his third effort will tell if he isn't losing his freshness from "Boy in Da Corner".… Expand

Fuckin goog but not as good as boy in da corner.Some good beats and still superb lyrics.Slightly more mainstream but it is still a class act. 'mone the rascal.
