  1. Well-chosen guests like Fatman Scoop and Pharoahe Monch increase the thug appeal while earthshaking productions from the Alchemist, DJ Khalil, and Mr. Porter seal the deal.
  2. Slaughterhouse’s new album is relentlessly lyrical, which is the point. Equally talented and underrated, Royce, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, and Joe Budden came together and instantly created a situation where the sum was greater than the individual parts.
  3. All the controversy and hype aside, what’s most important is that these four rappers were able to put out a very listenable and enjoyable record. And to the surprise of many, there is nary a weak beat on Slaughterhouse.
