This is a great rock and roll album. Each song is trying to do something completely different and it all works. This is the Stones at the peak of their creativity.

Easily their best album since Exile On Main Street, and remains in their Top 5 records, and does not hold back on their typical rock and roll sound. Simply perfection.

  1. Where the regular album is musically quirky and lyrically either risky ("Some Girls," "Far Away Eyes") or generalized ("Respectable," "Beast of Burden," damn right "When the Whip Comes Down"), the bonus disc is musically classic-Stones and lyrically small-scale.

A second disc continues the upbeat mood of the main album. [Jan 2012, p.135]

The proof is in the music; it sounds juts great. [Jan 2012, p.98]
