A fade-out would be too easy--better to bluntly suggest that there's more music beyond that final frame, and encourage the rumor that this version of Faust is far from finished.

Apr 1, 2011Overall the band carries off a convincing sense of menace and rocks hard at the same time. It may not be what fans of the original Faust would expect but it's satisfying in a different way, while still maintaining the arch sensibility that made them legendary if not exactly famous.

Jan 21, 2012Something Dirty is a really enjoyable trip by one of the most legendary bands in rock history. The first half of the album contains the best material.
