Sounded ike a good old Goo Goo Dolls Album, complete with plenty of cheese! Home, a single, I liked. Not Broken is an epic. Nothing Is Real may be my favorite. Over all, a good album!

I quite liked this album 'Something For the rest of us' by Goo Goo Dolls.'
For me the best track in the album has to be 'Home' as I really enjoyed watching the music video

I don't really have a worst song in this album as all the songs have their own unique story.

Something For The Rest Of Us is a welcome change of pace from the Goo's previous effort "Let Love In". On this record Rzeznik found inspiration and created a concept album made entirely of songs "For the rest of us" Brilliant Concept, Fantastic production and not a bad song on the album. 10/10

"Something For The Rest Of Us" is definitely a solid album, and probably the last definitively solid Goo album to date. The album highlight "Sweetest Lie" flourishes through riffs, heavy drum beats and hand claps. "Home", the lead single, isn't anything to write home about, but it is a good lead single choice. "NotBroken" is a lovely song, as is "One Night". The most impressive moment on"Something For The Rest Of Us" is definitely a solid album, and probably the last definitively solid Goo album to date. "NotBroken" is a lovely song, as is "One Night". The most impressive moment on the album is the smooth transition between "Still Your Song" and "Something For The Rest Of Us", both very good tracks. "Hey Ya" is another highlight, whereas the album closer, "Soldier", disappoints only slightly. Takac's first track, "Now I Hear", is not very good, but his second, "Say You're Free", is so good that it makes up for any mediocrity in the former. Overall, bravo Goo Goo Dolls! Expand

  1. Always something of an underdog themselves, throughout their career the Goo Goo Dolls have quietly championed society's own underdogs. With Something for the Rest of Us, they craft a near-perfect, emotional album that gives a voice and a window into the individual struggles of the large number of "the rest of us" out there.

So while it's a typically polished affair, it is by no means lacking in genuine emotion. [4 Sep 2010, p.51]
  3. Something for the Rest of Us is an album to play on the drive home.
