Chairlift craft an accessible, strange pop record. "Something" shows off Chairlift's eccentricities, but also a pure original, well written album that's very distinct opposed to any other record. "I Belong In Your Arms" is the highlight track for me.

All In All, Chairlift are a great pop band and "Something" has way more great tracks than just okay songs. B+

There is really something special about this album; very catchy synths and great lyrics sung by the wonderful Caroline Polachek. A very underrated album in my opinion.

After listen it more than 6 times, it has become one of my favorites records of this months. They've created a peculiar piece of pop, that mixes commercial sounds with experimental arrangements, producing a nice result. All the songs has good moments that reinforce the general quality. Some people may not like it, but it's a matter of taste.

This is a well-made album full of catchy rhythms, upbeat pop songs. Caroline has a powerful voice in this album and her vocals help give each song a special mood. It is definitely an album worth listening to and it is one of the better albums of this year so far.

The Brooklyn duo returns with material that stays true to its trademark song structure but turns the musicality up considerably.

The music is as compelling and versatile as Polachek's voice. [Mar 2012, p. 97]
