This cd is so hot!! If you are not a true fan of R&B soul you are not going to appreciate how talented and unique Tweet really is. She has some of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Tweets tunes take you on a smooth ride to paradise.

Tweet is the most singnificant artist to emerge since Prince. This is one of the best albums of 2002. This type of lyrical honest and skill is unfortunately rare in today's R&B music. The vocal harmonies are brillant ala the Emotions at times. Tweet is a great vocalist with subtle runs and acrobatics that even I missed initially. Tweet says she is going deeper on her next set. I';ll be one of the first in line on the day of release because only Tweet can replace Tweet in my CD player! Expand

Tweet's debut album "Southern Hummingbird" is, simply put, amazing! Amazing vocals, lyrics and production (which Tweet is involved in all aspects). For a debut, it's breathtaking, and if this album is anything like her upcoming 2nd album "It's Me Again" (release in Jan 2005), I will be impressed again! The only bad thing is that the album art isn't great lol (only 2 pictures of Tweet...on the cover and back) Expand

  1. It goes down better if you concentrate more on her charming voice and the tracks, rather what she is actually saying.
  2. It all blends together a little bit too much to be distinctive and, as such, it has a faint feel of product, a slow seduction record for the Timbaland-worshipping hipster set.
  3. Hummingbird does not disappoint fans who like their R&B buzzing with a side of multitempo hip-hop.
