SR3MM delivers quantity and quality by zeroing in on its creators’ charisma, clarifying the appeal that’s been there the whole time. In the strange pantheon of triple LPs, there’s nothing else like it.

SR3MM ends up being their clearest personal statement yet, finding their voices almost coincidentally.

Taken as a whole--SR3MM is nearly two hours long--the album is a serious time investment. However, broken up into three parts as intended, it provides a trio of easily digestible bites that gives Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi freedom to indulge their own artistry while maintaining their bond as a duo.

At this stage, both brothers realize they work better together, though SR3MM's unique format allows for a distinct look at the two very different parts of what make Rae Sremmurd tick.

[Swae Lee's] “Swaecation” is the most liquid, the most soft-focus of the three. (The duo album is a close second.) At times verges on the quiet-storm R&B of the early 1980s, though he is far more flexible with tempos than Post Malone, and sometimes veers toward ecstatic 1980s synth-pop. By contrast, Slim Jxmmi’s solo album, “Jxmtro,” is a more conventional contemporary hip-hop album, buoyant and loose. Sr3mm is long, but listening to it in one sitting, on its own, from top to bottom, is not how it’s truly designed to be engaged with.

By nature the album highlights their aesthetic differences, but at no point makes a strong argument for their separation. Still, it’s a bit of an awkward listen, with each of the three discs displaying obvious charms but none following through on its promise completely.

On Sr3mm, Discs One, Two, and Three are all hanging out on the same street corner. There are plenty of interesting moments. But it would have been nice to go on a journey.

The album is the usual sound from them. The songs are catchy. And the production is high quality. But all of this is also a flaw. This is the third album from them and it's pretty much the same as the first two, just not as good. In the end, this is a decent third album.

Swaecation is a decent debut album from Swae Lee. This album was very clearly more pop influenced than the other projects. The songs are okay, but they aren't anything new. They aren't really all that catchy. The production is fine. In the end, this is an okay album but could've been better.
    6.5/10
Jxmtro is a pretty good debut album from Slim Jxmmi. To be honest, this album was better than Swaecation from Swae Lee. The songs on this album are more trap influenced than other projects but it works with him. In the end, this was a pretty solid debut.

So this is the 3rd commercial album from Rae Sremmurd and i actually liked the idea, 1 disc with the duo, 1 disc with only Swae Lee and 1 discSo this is the 3rd commercial album from Rae Sremmurd and i actually liked the idea, 1 disc with the duo, 1 disc with only Swae Lee and 1 disc with Slim Jimmy, but it was a complete waste.

Starting with Sr3mm, this one is alright actually, the first 4 songs are terrible though, i never want to hear the song bedtime stories, because i lost a bit of respect for the weeknd, and i'm a huge fan of his, but from buckets onwards this album actually starts to be decent, powerglide, rock n roll hall of fame and T'd up are great songs and save this part of the album, i'll give SR3MM a 6/10

Swaecation is COMPLETELY terrible, swaecation alone is the worst album i've heard this year, which is a shame, because i actually thought Swae Lee could have a great solo career, i can't even pick a song I like here, his auto-tune doesn't fit anywhere in the production, and a production that seemed very rushed, Swae Lee didn't seem to know what he wanted exactly with this. I'm giving Swaecation a 1/10

Jxmtro is better than Swaecation, but very forgettable, these 2 clearly can't hold their own by themselves, they need each other bad, Slim Jxmmi at least knew what he wanted to do, his presence is great, and he has some good flows, but the repetitive hooks and lyrics affect this disc a great much, but it has some redeeming songs like Brxnks Trunk and Cap, the rest aren't terrible, but they are far from good. I'll give Jxmtro a 4/10
