Boring, even worse than their debut. Decent instrumental work, but combined with whiny lyrics, not much depth or creativity, like what is the point of this record? I've been going back to the past and listening to bands that I haven't listened to in a long time and I stumbled upon this album and all the memories of listening to this on repeat resurfaced. This album does not deserve the hate it got.

Whenever I write a review I rate an album in the context of the genre. With that out of the way, I believe that this is one of the best and most influential pop punk albums out there. I might have a slight bias considering Simple Plan has hit me nostalgically. People might be put off by just how clean their songs sound, but that is their style that they been manage to deliver in live performances. One may also be tired how whiny the songs are but let me remind you the album title is Still Not Getting Any. If anything this album is a warm welcome to my life. In a perfect world all albums would carry a variety of sounds and sophisticatedly explore its themes, but realistically that is not necessary to produce a hit album. Everytime I hear Simple Plan I get the same thing, but in this case it is a good thing, as if they made a crazy promise to give their loyal fans what they expect. Expand

All these 2004-2008 trolls made this album such a low rating when in reality their metal band or whatever kind of music those trolls listen to (reggae? how lame...) can't even perform their music live, UNLIKE simple plan.
Anywhoo, this album was awesome. The songs are legendary for simple plan on this album, and actually i prefer this album to No Pads.

I give this a three because I like "Shut Up". The rest of the songs suck hard and sound emo-like (not that "Shut Up" is not emo-like). This is really a album, but they did make ONE good song.

Every single of this album is a whiny piece of shit. One wonders when will this band ever grow up. This album is a perfect example of bubblegum pop and rock wannabe. I love this album, it helped me get through a hard time in my life. Simple Plan has been an inspiration to me for years, and now, I've got a real life to show for it. Their my favorite artist, and this album is incredible. If you loved their first album, this second one is a shock, it's much darker, but it's just as good, if not better.

A four, for the effort. A four because I could simply go like this: "SP SUX, DONT BUY ALBUM PLZ PLZ!" and I would consider it fair game. I do not think that people telling me they listen to SP and act special about should feel special. SP reminds emos what it is to be emo. AKA: Crying for something that you aren't getting, but could be getting, if you only stopped crying about it. A four, for the effort. I do not think that people telling me they listen to SP and act special about should feel special. SP reminds emos what it is to be emo. AKA: Crying for something that you aren't getting, but could be getting, if you only stopped crying about it. It's an issue. The whole album is an issue. I am french, from Quebec. And I can tell you there's a fury about them in their own country. People rush to buy their albums and then feel sad because of an overly singular text. Those guys are what... 20 years old? And they still come up with texts like "Somebody save me!" or "Help me!" ... You could be asking for help at 14 years old, but at the point they are, it just doesn't fit. It's not right, it doesn't sound right. Some critics have said: all the songs sound like hits. Alright, so that's already another problem. When all the songs sound like radio-material. It's bound to not make sense and just be teen-food. Parents enjoy Simple Plan because they apparently make their children feel special. Issues that teens cry over are talked about in this less-than-brainy album. If your view on life is sad and you think "there's nowhere to hide". (LOL , MAJOR LOL)Please, do buy this album and cry in your own little corner, or invite your friends over to rant about things you have trouble comprehending. Perfect album for someone with an IQ of a simple-minded anarchist. P.S Simple Plan is Pop-Rock, not Pop-Punk. Or "Teenage crying for attention". Expand

Now that i have completely exhausted the postives now the negatives. First the CD full of teen angst and complaining is enough to make one sick. Listening to "welcome to my life" seems so insignificant as they are complaining about normal teenage experiences. Everyone at that age feels misunderstood and the depressive approach that these 20 year old men take to sympathize with todays youth is fairly pathetic. I want to hear an artist who has been deeply effected by a tragedy then they would have the right to complain, yet they wouldn't because the root of complaints is from being spoiled. It must be hard to keep there musical integrity by recycling old highschool stories about themselves (if what they sing is even truth). The bottom line is simple plan is recycled music. it is evident in every song. they re-use words and phrases even within their singles. Musically, you would not need any talent or previous experience to quickly play any of their songs. This CD is suited for a very targeted market, overall this group and CD has about the same amount of musical integrity as a Paris Hilton CD. Expand

O...My...God. i know that a zero is a very unrealistic score, but come on, a band this shitty deserves one. Absolutly no creativity and originality. just lame ass riff after lame ass riff, and lyrics that a 12 year old could write in his/her sleep. I know thier demographic is 12-15 year old girls, but music this horrid deserves to be banned. For this i am ashamed to be canadian.

Simple Plan are just no good, this cd contains nothing but them complaing even though there livin it up coz teenage girls actually buy this. THis isnt punk rock if u want decent punk rock bands 2day you will find them hard 2 com acroos but there are two satandouts Green day and Blink-182 they may not be the Sex Pistols or the Ramones but there better than this crap.

The Album despite that it is "Simple Plan' Really isn't that bad, but the constant wining will only be liked by emo fans and people who are very open minded with there music. Dont think of it as another "Punk" Album as much as just another simple plan album. If you want to listen to something better though I would recommend Mest, The Used, Good CHarlotte, or Jimmy Eat World. Hell yeah, Jimmy P! Thanks for getting the word out there! It is completely true what you said about all these chicks being fucking posers! Simple plan is easily the gayest poser punk i have ever heard in my life! Listen to some old school shit or maybe if you like more modern stuff, get Green Day or Sum 41 or even New Found Glory! How can you people, listen to such crap music, and call them punk, the backstreet boys in eyeliner and spikey hair are more punk then they are, Where are the real punk bands like the ramones, and the sex pistols? This band kills rock like alot others like good charlotte (dont even get me started with good charlotte). NO wonder rap is soo popular cuz new rock sucks, imagine if radio stations, mtv, much music (for canada), and other music distributors would putting some good new rock music?. This music so tacky and whiney, think about it.. be smart. some other suggestions, since people do play horrblie music now days, go to a music store, buy some real rock, buy some led zeppelin, some black sabbath, some ac dc, some soundGarden some alice in chains, and i bet there a great new bands if ur not into the 70',80's or 90's. Whatever jus not his horrible music! sorry if i offended anyone but i really strongly aobut this and the direction of rock , music, anyway i got to go listen some motley crue right about now before i hurl Expand

OMG! I love Simple Plan! despite the fact that i heard most of the songs for the first time wif my (now) ex... but all these songs really rock & some hit home hard and really make you think. And i reckon thats a great thing, plus songs like ''Shut Up'' its a great jump-up-and-down-and-go-crazy song!

This CD is really cool. I love their fun songs like we're used to hearing from SP, like Shut Up & Jump, & I love how they have more dramatic songs on this CD 2. Like Welcome To My Life, Me Against The World & Crazy. They didn't have those type of songs too much on their last CD.

It's seems like every song on this album is destined to be a single! Very popish and annoyingly too radio-friendly for me! Still, kids will love it for sure. Songs are short and straight to the point. I feel some negativity in the lyrics, although some good messages as well. Ya know, your typical teen-social-frustration-issues-kind-o-lyrics! Production-wise, I've heard better. It's seems like every song on this album is destined to be a single! Very popish and annoyingly too radio-friendly for me! Still, kids will love it for sure. Production-wise, I've heard better. Producer Bob Rock took care of this album so it does feel a little "washed up" at times. I mean, come on, the guy is like 50 years old! Still, like Rolling Stones magazine put it: "It's goofy as all hell, but don't be surprised if you catch yourself singing along". Expand

This is music for stupid teenagers made by people who should know better by now. Since when did Simple Plan "keep it real" anyway? Simple Plan are more synthetic than fake vomit, and just as pleasant.

Simple Plan keeps it real with this record and doesn't care what everyone else thinks. It's their record, and they work hard to write the songs and be truely loyal to their die-hard fans. With tracks like "Untitled" and "Perfect World" the band shows their more serious side but sticks with the sound that got them noticed in the bop-along tracks "Jump" and "Thank You". 1. Individually, the songs are catchy, but as they pile up over the length of the album, it's impossible not to wonder whether the singer's endless complaints didn't drive everyone away. [8 Nov 2004]
  2. Despite the overwrought angst, Still Not Getting Any... is a hard-to-deny collection of bubblegum punk

Every song has hooks so polished you can see your reflection in them. [Dec 2004, p.142]
