  • Summary: Think of 'Suit' as 'The Love Below' to 'Sweat's 'Speakerboxxx.' Where 'Sweat' is the more party-oriented of the two discs simultaneously released by Nelly, 'Suit' showcases the rapper's gentler side, and includes collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Tim McGraw (!), Mase and Pharrell Williams.

  1. Nelly sounds more convincing and appealing on Suit [than on Sweat]. [17 Sep 2004, p.75]
  2. Granted, Nelly's rapping here is more restrained and insubstantial than ever, but when you have a cast of collaborators like this, the actual rapping is beside the point -- these are fun songs, plain and simple, and wonderfully catchy to boot.

By turns sensual and despondent. [Oct 2004, p.126]
  4. Hackneyed songs grind drearily.

Oh..Wow!! This c.d made the charts so hot, Nelly did his thang from start to finish with this c.d. This man works hard to keep his image and this c.d shows it. Another thing that I love about this album is that Nelly actually opens up to his fans and he tells more about his life in this c.d. Expand

great album from nelly, no fillers, good from start to finish. he takes risks and pulls them off, such as song with country artist and pop singer.

Pretty weak compared to "The Reinvention"... I'd rather listen to "Suit".
