An incredible indie pop album that sounds so fresh while still incorporating music from the 70s and the 80s, the lyrics deal with teenage/young adult life, heartbreak and lost love. Adults can play this album and remember their adolescence with joy and young people can have this as their soundtrack to their ongoing life. "Summer Camp" is simply a record that anyone can identify with. Summer Camp is their second album and it offers another delicious slice of sun-drenched, '80s influenced alt-pop. [Nov-Dec 2013, p.98]

Put Summer Camp in the category of bands that are too good to ignore, but too uneven to truly embrace. Summer Camp is frustrating proof of that sad fact.

In playing it this safe, Summer Camp is just another entry in an increasingly trivial catalog.
