This, for all the fighting talk, has the feel of a lightweight flailing around for another KO.

"Death of YOLO" and "Word Is Bond" show promise, but the tape feels like little more than background music for blunt sessions.

Overall the young rapper's glorious flare of an introduction has not been brightening. His latest, Summer Knights continues this trend.

1999, his ground-breaking debut mixtpe, was one of the greatest i've ever had the pleasure to listen to, and the sounds and lyrics that were formulated from the lips of the 17 year old showed skill and maturity way beyond his years.

Now 18, his latest release, 'Summer Knights' doesn't disappoint in any way, shape or form. It shows that he is truly putting his all into becoming one of the greatest rappers dead or alive. Tracks such as 'Hilary Swank' and 'Satellite' continue the 1999 legacy and deliver incredibly solid and hard hitting bars over gritty, old-school beats, whereas 'My Youth' shows off his potential with other sub-genres of rap, and shows that he is more than just a one trick pony.

The album may not be as revolutionary as his prior release, but it is almost just as satisfying to listen to. 'Summer Knights' should be seen as nothing but a stepping stone between his incredibly hard-hitting debut mixtape, and the long-awaited but inevitably brilliant debut studio album.

I cant wait for the Pro Era rap takeover, and with releases such as this, Badass cements himself as the leader of a new generation of incredible music.
