  1. Because of the emphasis on brevity and variety (and especially quality), the album's over before you know it and you're left feeling hungry for more Korn.
  2. Korn have circled the wagons and self-produced their best album to date, refining the formula to a black-cancer marmalade of corrosive riffs, fist-flying rhythms, gothic-carnival atmospheres and toxic vocals.
  3. All fine in principle, except we've heard it all a million times before.

[Korn] sound both out of focus and curiously out of date. [Feb 2004, p.95]
  5. Q Magazine

Unconvincing and safe. [Feb 2004, p.102]
  6. A brutal barrage of staccato beats, club-footed riffs and panzer-division stomps.

Korn remain technically proficient, but Take A Look In The Mirror serves only to make the case that the genre has officially screamed itself into caricature. [12 Dec 2003, p.77]

This is a masterpiece. Their best album since the self-titled! Anyone who criticizes this record must be deaf, because here you have theThis is a masterpiece. Their best album since the self-titled! Anyone who criticizes this record must be deaf, because here you have the chance to hear the best Korn songs such as: Right Now, Break Some Off, Counting On Me, Here It Comes Again, Deep Inside, Did My Time, Everything I've Known, Play Me, Alive, Let's Do This Now, I'm Done, Y'All Want A Single and When This Will End. I know that I just listed all the songs from the album, but all of them are amazing... there's not a single weak point here. The band hates this album and it's to be expected... they hated each other and had many problems while making this album... and this is why Take A Look in The Mirror is their most genuine record to date... sincere emotions, not a single fake thing about this record. I encourage you to take a look in the mirror... if you're like me, you'll love what you'll find there. Pickens approves! Expand

Screw the magazine critics - this album is great. Heavy as hell with unreal basslines. Keep it up Korn!

Album nie tak dobry jak jego poprzednik ale to wciąż kawał solidnej roboty. Świetny klimat i potężne brzmienie.

But when I listened to it more, I became to like it more too. My favourite songs for this album are Counting on me, One, Did my time, Alive. Though I still think that this is Korn's second worst album, in comparacent to other bands albums I like it a lot and I rate it with 8. Expand
