It's familiar but refreshing, evidence that a dinosaur genre like "post-rock" can still sound vital.

Take Care, Take Care, Take Care is another beautiful record from the band, and another fresh track laid on their sonic landscape, a slight tangent from their other records that never loses their overall direction.

The six tracks on Take care... are beautifully realised mini-symphonies that invite comparisons with a leaner Godspeed You! Black Emperor, all defined by epic, awe-inspiring crescendos. [May 2011, p.115]

Besides the odd burst of surf guitar and filigree finger-picking, the basic musical parameters remain unchanged. [May 2011, p.85]

  1. So So Beautiful! This is the best instrumental music I have ever heard in my life!I get goosebumps every time I listen to it.Just buy this, and let's hope the next album will be as great as this. Expand
  2. Utterly breathtaking. Deep, layered, and gorgeous. Didn't think they would every top Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place. This one is in the running for sure. Collapse
  3. Explosions In The Sky continue to deliver incredible impact from their instrumental offerings, with soaring guitar and thundering percussion forming the backbone for their unmistakable sound.
This album reveals some subtle variations from previous releases, it's closest stablemate being "The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place".

Another Explosions album to absorb and enjoy from start to finish.

  4. After setting expectations really high with All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone I was ecstatic to hear the new album. They spent the next 3-4 years coming up with this? It's listenable but a horrible case of an artist imitating themselves. They took out the piano and noise sections they were hinting at with the last album and they just can't seem to use any other notes on the fret board. I hope this is just a hiccup because I hate seeing a band I've pimped out so much just settle for something safe. Expand
