ClifCJun 8, 2009I was totally surprised with this album. I absolutely love techno, house, ... SONGS. I usually don't like very much albums with these styles, I get easily bored. But this one has a lot of variations, it's really good. Standout tracks: "Take My Breath Away", "Opus 17" and "Ballroom".

Take My Breath Away begins expansively, but rather than proving to be a promising start the opening track turns out, in fact, to be the highlight.
-
But from the stridently Floydian gravitas of its cover to the ponderous, tolling piano notes that close the album, Take My Breath Away finds Boratto straining uncomfortably to make some kind of serious statement.
-
One gets the sense, however, that in acknowledging where his inspirations came from and figuring out where his compositions will go on Take My Breath Away, he's misplaced the present tense and the once-present tension.
