It is not that bad as it appears in metacritic . It is based only on 7 reviews it is not fair. There is much much worse albums than that

Personally, I thought Phil Collins is a music legend like you guys know. He always come up with the neat production and the great sound of percussions. However, my satisfy to his brand new album is only average. It is good to listen to the romantic tracks like 'Come with me', 'The least you can do' and 'Can't stop loving you'.

I used to like Phil Collins. Then I heard this. It sounds like Manilow.

A collection of nice songs, which, though not outstanding, do contain some sublime melodies. A notch up on his last album but still short of his eighties output.

Well actually i would give it 7 1/2 but there isn't a rating for that, so i gave it 8. Anyway, i felt that this is a great album, obviously not his best, but one of his better most recent one's. I especally like the first song "Wake up call" However i do tend to agree that they are a bit sombre and mellow, but in all not a bad piece of work.

I never thought I'd say this, but compared to these songs, "Sussudio" is a masterpiece. This is the musical equivalent of maple syrup from the tree - it leaks out, sticks to you, and if ingested, it may be sugary sweet at first, but it will make you sick if you eat too much. Hard to believe that this is from a guy who created some amazing songs along with one certified rock classic, "In the Air Tonight." Disappointing. Expand

  1. A largely boring affair.
  2. Testify is a perfect album for anyone who still treasures Face Value, Hello, I Must Be Going and No Jacket Required.
  3. Testify is full of laid-back, better-than-average adult-contempo fare, and the subtle, atmospheric production sure beats the slickness of his Eighties records.
