This is quite honestly the very BEST record I have heard in nearly 15 years. I don't remember the last time I felt this way about an album. Utter brilliance. Feel You Now would have have a top 5 hit 30 years ago. What a shame the masses will never hear, what will probably be the best album of the year. If you read this, rest assured, you will not be disappointed in the Autumn Defense!!!

it's very calm, and some times get too monotonus, but i just can't give it a bad rateing, i mean it's a part of wilco that we can't hear in another place

  1. Stirrat and Sansone revisit the immaculate production of their previous work, but with greater cohesion and broader instrumentation.
  2. Circles (2003) was heartier fare, just as starry-eyed and unabashedly romantic but more focused and elegant. It’s a better record, to be sure, but that doesn’t make The Autumn Defense a bad one.

Oh, what fey-but-fecund pleasures lurk in the grooves of the group's third full-length. [#74, p.91]
