An amazing album, rich, textured and catchy as hell. Jenny Lewis has such an emotive and sexy voice.

A vast improvement over their first record, Rilo Kiley ditches her baby doll voice in favor of a more raw emotional voice complete with powerful guitar instrumentals.

Pleasantly surprising indie folk rock . jenny Lewis sounds clear and assured with each catchy hook. It's really good stuff here

  1. An old-school indie-rock disc reminiscent of Bettie Serveert, Rainer Maria, and Liz Phair.
  2. A wonderful balance of beautiful indie rock and subtle country.

Producer Mike Mogis [gives] these delicate songs a sheen that was lacking on their 2001 debut. [Jul 2003, p.114]
