For any long time fan of the Puppy, they know this is them at their worst. They sound like they want to sound like OhGr, and that is not what Skinny Puppy is about.

Their noisy attack has downright melodic elements, and the album exudes an energy that was mostly sporadic in their previous material. [Sep 2004, p.140]

The names Pitchshifter, Nine Inch Nails and Rammstein are often bandied about in this company, but here’s a tip: Skinny Puppy have rendered them once again irrelevant.
  3. Shows Skinny Puppy at the top of their game once again.
