  • Summary: Norah Jones is one of two vocalists (Richard Julian is the other) in New York's Little Willies, who make their debut with this mostly-covers album.

  1. Maybe this isn't a major record, but it's thoroughly likeable record that doesn't lose its charm on repeated plays.
  2. 80
Mostly loose and warm more than heart-stopping. [Apr 2006, p.104]
  3. In the studio, Jones and musical friends... distill the fun, down-to-earth spirit of their live shows. [11 Mar 2006]
  4. 60
[Has] a relaxed good humor and a genuine feel for the pulse of Western swing. [Apr 2006, p.114]
  5. Pleasant but unremarkable. [Apr 2006, p.116]
  6. For all their individual talents and collective intentions, The Little Willies just don't measure up to the greats they invoke.

Lots of fun and soul with expert vocals and music; can't ask for more.

Thought I would love Nora Jones sing anything, but couldn't get into this one.
