    Rap-technically he made one of his best albums here. On the other way round, I can't stand his kind of humor. Songs like 'Kim' or the Ken Kaniff skit are just atrocious to hear. But if I cut away these few songs, there stays a diversified, lyrically awesome rap LP that does not only shock, but also has very clever lines, which you may not discover until hearing the album a couple of times.Rap-technically he made one of his best albums here. Almost every feature on here is bad (sorry, but that's just how it is. Who needs D12, Snoop Dogg or RBX if you've got the king of rap?!) and secondary his rap skills aren't steady. But still: The way he raps is awesome and his play on words and ambiguities are one-of-a-kind! Expand

    yes, i do enjoy Eminem's music, but i just found this album offensive at times, Kim, under the influence, and other songs on this album are just to offensive, to enjoy in my opinion

    In my opinion, probably the weakest of the original white boy trilogy, if that even means anything. Eminem is the type of rapper most like in high school, and the novelty of this album must have been lost on me or something. The saving grace was the production and the songs Who knew and Criminal. The point of this album seems to be for eminem to stick it to the critics and to just say whatever he wants, which gets boring after a while. If there's one thing that sticks with me on this album, it's the punch lines. That is the only part of the lyricism that is at all memorable. Mid. Expand

    While Eminem is, without a doubt, one of the most skilled rappers out there, I couldn't stand the overt misogynistic and homophobic tones of the music. I wouldn't have cared as much, if it weren't for Stans that like to use the word **** (gay slur) in every sentence.

    The collaborative efforts of tracks like "Bitch Please II" and "Under the Influence" make Eminem seem like an ornamental prop in Dr. Dre's ever-growing hip-hop dynasty.
  2. The problem is, as the album drags on, young Master Mathers wastes his considerable wit and opts to grouse in the guise of a rampaging reactionary. Song after song finds Eminem viciously baiting real and imagined enemies, as if that's all he knows how to do.
  3. It just isn't as much fun this time around, no matter how fresh Dre's beats are or how many worthy targets get shot down along with the innocent.
